Affiliations
- The New York Pychoanalytic Association: Dr. Wright is a senior member of the teaching faculty of the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, the oldest training institution in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy in the United States. There she teaches psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers who are candidates in psychoanalytic training on a variety of topics. She is also a member of the Committee on Child Psychoanalysis and a participant in the Speakers’ Bureau of the Child Analytic Outreach Program.
- The Berkshire Psychoanalytic Institute: Dr. Wright is a founding member of the BPI, a new training facility of the American Psychoanalytic Association located in the Berkshire region of western Massachusetts. The BPI was founded to provide previously inaccessible psychoanalytic training to the many mental health workers in upstate New York, western Massachusetts, southern Vermont and north-west Connecticut. It is also a center for providing informational services and referral services to the local community. She is a senior member of the teaching faculty and a member of the Education Committee.
- The American Psychoanalytic Association: Dr. Wright is a certified member of the APsA , which is the main national organization for psychoanalysis, and regularly participates in several of the annual workshops.
- The American Association for Child Psychoanalysis: Dr. Wright is a member of the ACP, an international not-for-profit organization. All its members are highly trained child and adolescent psychoanalysts. The organization was founded in 1965 to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas and clinical experience in order to advance the psychological treatment and understanding of children and adolescents and their families.
- The Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry: Dr. Wright is a member of the AACAP, the main national association of psychiatrists who serve children and adolescents. The AACAP acts as a major advocate for children’s well-being both working with policy makers, the Administration and Congress, as well as with educators and parents.
