Dr. Wright is a fully trained physician, licensed to practice medicine in the states of New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She is also a trained psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, with training in working with both adults and children. Details of her training are as follows:

• Medical Training (1966-1971) University of Western Australia (Perth, Australia) and University of Melbourne, (Melbourne Australia) with medical degree awarded by the University of Melbourne.
• Postgraduate medical training (1972-1974) Rotating medical surgical internship and one year of medical residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
• Psychiatric Training (1974-1977) Residency in psychiatry at the Montefiore Medical Center, of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.
• Child Psychiatric Training (1977-1979) Fellowship in Child Psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.
• Psychoanalytic Training (completed, 1985) The New York Psychoanalytic Institute, NY, NY.
• Child Psychoanalytic Training (completed 2009) The New York Psychoanalytic Institute, NY, NY.
